Folk names for rosemary include “dew of the sea” and “elf leaf”. A gorgeous and fragrant tender perennial, the rosemary herb is wonderful for seasoning savory dishes as well as for conjuring up a little herbal magick. Tuck a sprig of rosemary under your pillow to charm yourself into a good night’s sleep and pleasant dreams. Rosemary is also a popular herb for weddings. Brides once carried the herb in their bouquets, and grooms had a sprig tucked into their boutonnieres to symbolize their love and faithfulness. This would be a beautiful way to incorporate the enchanting language of flowers on a wedding day.
